End-to-end encryption (e2ee) encrypts all your notes and tasks on device level, before sending those to our cloud. This makes them highly secure.
To decrypt the content, you will need a private key. That private key is stored on your local machine upon enabling the encryption. You will need to set a backup password that is required when accessing your notes from any other device. We will not store this password anywhere. If you loose it, we cannot decrypt your content.
To enable e2ee, navigate to the account page in Organizedly. You will see a tab for e2ee and a button to enable it. A password is prompted, please store it somewhere safe, such as a password manager.
